Bilkent University Faculty of Law 4th-year student Berire Üçpınar, together with her team “Rock’n Law,” has been awarded the “Jury Special Award” at the Law-a-thon competition organized by ELSA Istanbul and hosted by Istanbul Bilgi University.
Within the scope of the competition, the team developed an innovative software solution aimed at preventing corporate greenwashing risks. The system evaluates companies’ environmental claims from the perspectives of Turkish law and comparative law, and analyzes potential legal violations, administrative sanctions, and litigation processes. The solution is particularly based on provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code (TCC) and the Code of Civil Procedure (CCP), as well as landmark case law concerning climate litigation.
