📍 As Bilkent University Faculty of Law, we held the first session of the Criminal Law Talks series on 16 December 2025 at Lecture Hall C Block, featuring a panel titled “Current Assessments on the Turkish Penal Execution System.”
The panel addressed recent developments regarding the execution of final criminal judgments in Turkish criminal law, as well as practical issues and ongoing debates in implementation. The discussion was enriched by contributions from Mr. Fatih Güngör, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses, and Ms. Sema Sonay Gökşen, Public Prosecutor at the Enforcement Bureau of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
