Bilkent University Faculty of Law achieved a significant success at the 2026 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the world, organized by the International Law Students Association (ILSA).
Competing against leading law schools across Türkiye, the Bilkent University Jessup Team advanced to the national final and became the runner-up in Türkiye. With this outstanding achievement, the team earned the right to participate in the international rounds to be held in Washington, D.C.
In addition to the team’s success, our students were individually recognized for their exceptional advocacy skills. Pelin Alan was awarded Best Oralist of the Competition, while İlayda Soysal received the Second Best Oralist award.
The 2026 Bilkent Jessup Team consists of Doğa Can, İlayda Soysal, Merve Hatun Horuz, Pelin Alan, and Zeynep Balkan. The team is coached and advised by Dr. Ayşe Dicle Ergin and Yeşim Köseoğlu.
