The 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Turkish Civil Code was commemorated with a seminar titled “The Turkish Civil Law Revolution,” held on 17 February 2026 at the İhsan and Ayser Doğramacı Center for Science, Culture and Arts.
The event, organized within the scope of the “Civil Code Centenary Seminars,” opened with remarks by Rector Prof. Dr. Kürşat Aydoğan. The program continued with a musical performance by students of the Bilkent Music Preparatory High School. The panel was moderated by Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Başak Baysal, with panelists Prof. Dr. Osman Berat Gürzumar from the Faculty of Law and Assoc. Prof. H. Tolga Bölükbaşı, Director of the Atatürk and Republic History Research and Application Center.
